Thank you for the ways that your grace is abundant
that Your love never fails,
We come to you this day
with our hearts breaking,
as we watch
protests, violence, and intentional division within our country.
We want to pray for unity, compassion, empathy and grace
to cover all of us.
And we acknowledge God
That these aspirational hopes
Must first begin with lament, repentance and reconciliation.
Help us to confess our sins before you
Help us loving Jesus to confess our failures to you,
We present all that we are before you who loves all that we are.
Please be with those tonight who tuck themselves into bed.
Please be with those tonight, who are tucked into bed.
And please be with those tonight,
who march for freedom, justice,
and hope for a better today.
