This Sunday, we will conclude our three-week sermon series focusing on Jesus' parables about the kin-dom through the Gospel of Mark. Our final focus will be on Mark 4:30-41. I encourage you to read this passage in preparation for our time of worship together. Let's come ready to delve deeply into the rich teachings of Jesus and explore what they mean for our lives today.

Celebrating Our Commitment to Apportionments
We are thrilled to announce that our church continues its impressive streak of giving 100% apportionments as part of our connection to the greater United Methodist Church. But what exactly are apportionments? Apportionments are our way of contributing to the broader mission and ministries of the United Methodist Church, allowing us to make a collective impact both locally and globally. For more information, check out this resource: What Are Apportionments?
Remembering Juneteenth
Today, we remember Juneteenth, which has been a Federal Holiday since 2021. This significant day commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery, a full 2½ years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. During that time, the message of freedom had not reached a quarter of a million enslaved Black people. Juneteenth marks the official end of government-sanctioned slavery in America and is a powerful reminder of our ongoing journey towards equality and justice.

Thank you for being a part of our vibrant and compassionate community. We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and continuing our mission together.
