Exciting Updates and Events at Our Church
I am thrilled to share some wonderful news and upcoming events that highlight the vibrant life of our community.
This Sunday: Grant Announcement by Ann Mayer
We are blessed to have our Lay Leader, Ann Mayer, speak to us this Sunday. Ann will share details about the incredible $872k grant our church has received to build solar panels and batteries to serve our communities. This initiative is a significant step toward sustainability and community service, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have. The Seattle Times has a great write up which you can find here.
Special Guest Preacher and Communion – August 4th
Mark your calendars for the first Sunday in August, when we will have the honor of welcoming District Superintendent Derek Nakano as our guest preacher. Additionally, Reverends Brian and Anita Wood will preside over Holy Communion. I am looking forward to celebrating the sacredness of Holy Communion and worshiping with you all on this special day.
Thank You for a Successful Abundant Grace Event
Our Abundant Grace event on July 13th was a tremendous success, thanks to the many people who supported this important ministry. Your dedication and hard work are deeply appreciated, and together, we have made a significant impact on those in need.
Federal Way Pride Sponsorship – August 3rd
We are thrilled to announce that our church is once again a proud sponsor of Federal Way Pride on August 3rd. This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate diversity and inclusion. If you are interested in supporting this event, whether through volunteering, donations, or simply attending, please let the church office know. Your participation can make a significant impact as we stand together in love and acceptance.
Thank you for being a part of our church family and for your continued support and involvement. I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and celebrating our shared mission and values.
Blessings,
Pastor DJ
